materials make matter

WOOD defines Kongacph kitchens, showcasing our commitment to exceptional materiality and craftsmanship. Moreover, we choose oak wood as the core component for all our handcrafted kitchens, testifying to our dedication to quality and sustainability.

We carefully select oak wood that meets FSC certification, ensuring responsible sourcing and environmental stewardship.

Oak trees boast remarkable stability and durability, making them the ideal choice for creating enduring kitchen designs. Specifically, we seek out oak trees from European forests, prioritizing the use of 5-meter-long logs to enable us to craft kitchen facades from a single oak log. Consequently, this allows us to showcase the unique texture and natural beauty of the wood, creating a captivating aesthetic for every Kongacph kitchen.

drawers shape character

Construction-wise, all our kitchens are crafted using 19mm oak veneer, a well-thought choice that guarantees durability and a standardized approach. As for the kitchen facades, they are created using either solid oak wood or oak veneer, depending on the design of the KONGA Cph kitchen.

When it comes to our drawers, each KONGA kitchens collection has its own distinctive character.

In the Tenon kitchen, we showcase the art of craftsmanship with tenon-mortise joinery and a full horizontal textural alignment, which creates a seamless and refined look. This design also features a handless kitchen design, adding to its sleek and modern kitchen appeal.

The Roots kitchen offers a perfect blend of flexibility and smoothness, with rounded ends on the bottom of each drawer facade. Not only does this design enhance the aesthetic appeal, but it also provides a user-friendly experience.

For the 25x25 Workshop kitchen, simplicity, symmetry, and clean lines take center stage. We have incorporated an integrated oak wood handle that seamlessly extends from the drawer itself, offering a functional and visually pleasing element.

off-cuts encouraged design

We believe in the importance of sustainability and resourcefulness, which is why we creatively reuse the oak wood off-cuts. These off-cuts find new life as kitchen drawers, kitchen insert accessories, or in our standardized 25x25 shelving system.

By prioritizing European oak wood and implementing responsible production practices, we not only create beautiful and enduring oak wood kitchen designs but also contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally conscious approach to woodworking.

countertops counts
generations

We understand the importance of selecting a countertop that not only ensures longevity but also enhances the beauty of our handcrafted oak wood kitchen designs. To perfectly complement our handcrafted kitchen designs, we offer our customers three types of countertops: stainless steel, massive oak wood, and marble.

Stainless Steel Countertops: Renowned for their sleek, modern appearance and exceptional durability, stainless steel countertops are a lifetime investment. They are highly resistant to heat, stains, and even bacteria, while remaining easy to clean and maintaining their appeal across various kitchen styles. When combined with our crafted Konga Cph oak wood kitchens, the fusion of cold stainless steel and warm wood creates an aesthetically pleasing and enduring design. For consistency, stainless steel sinks can also be seamlessly welded into the countertop.

Solid Oak Wood Countertops: Embracing the distinctive grain patterns of oak wood, our massive oak wood countertops exude warmth and uniqueness. They provide a durable and sustainable surface for food preparation, particularly ideal for creating captivating kitchen island designs. Although they require regular attention and maintenance, these countertops can be sanded or re-oiled when necessary, reviving their texture and visual allure.

Marble Countertops: Admired for their elegance and luxurious appearance, marble countertops offer a wide range of color options and captivating patterns that tell a story. When combined with our oak wood Konga Cph kitchens, marble countertops bring a touch of soft luxury to your interior, elevating the overall aesthetics of the space. It’s important to note that marble is a natural and porous material, requiring regular sealing and care to prevent staining and etching from acidic substances.

shared values partnership

At Konga Cph, we believe in the power of collaboration and the shared values of our partners when it comes to respecting and honoring the beauty of wood. In our commitment to crafting handcrafted oak wood kitchens, we have partnered with OSMO, a company specializing in natural plant-based oils.

These oils, applied to our kitchens, penetrates deeply into the wood, keeping it elastic and precenting from drying. The wood becomes naturally protected allowing it to breathe and allowing moisture to evaporate. With OSMO oil, maintaining and partially renovating your handcrafted oak wood kitchen becomes effortless.
